Seven years have passed since Anti-Torture Law in Lebanon was enacted, yet it has failed to end impunity or ensure accountability for perpetrators.
In a joint statement marking the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture (26 June), several human rights organizations, including Access Center for Human Rights (ACHR), called for urgent investigations, transparent accountability, and the activation of national and international mechanisms to prevent further violations and ensure justice.
